In our latest Spotlight Interview, we spoke to Sally Jones, Head of Europe at SwiftConnect. Sally shares how SwiftConnect simplifies access by unifying identity systems, improving tenant experiences, integrating with legacy infrastructure, and standardising portfolios, while also outlining future plans for growth and innovation. “With a transformed user experience, stronger security and automated workflows, mobile access is now the gold standard for enterprise companies. Increasingly, tenants expect to be able to link their own identity systems with base building infrastructure to create a single, seamless network of access permissions across every point – from parking garage to turnstile to their own spaces. It’s one unified access journey for administrators and users alike, from street to seat.”
Ǫ1-Can you give us a brief overview of SwiftConnect and the core problem it was created to solve in modern workplaces?
SwiftConnect is a connected access network for places and spaces, unifying identity and physical access into one frictionless trusted experience. We partner with some of the world’s largest CRE portfolios and enterprise companies – financial institutions, professional services firms, technology companies and pharmaceutical leaders.
Our integration platform is designed to eliminate the complexity, cost, and frustration caused by siloed and incompatible access and identity systems. For leaders tasked with delivering secure, effortless access, SwiftConnect bridges the gap between existing infrastructure and today’s dynamic
spaces. Our platform connects existing systems with cloud, identity, and mobile technologies—
automating traditionally manual workflows and unifying every user, credential, and space into one connected environment.
Unlike proprietary solutions that lock you in and require manual processes to manage access across disparate systems, SwiftConnect works with the infrastructure you already have – no need to rip and replace.
We replace friction with fluidity, creating seamless user experiences, stronger compliance for security teams and real-time access management that connects people to the right place at the right time. We can provide structured data to generate actionable insights and support sustainability efforts by eliminating the need for plastic cards.
Ǫ2- What impact does seamless mobile access have on tenant satisfaction and retention?
With a transformed user experience, stronger security and automated workflows, mobile access is now the gold standard for enterprise companies. Increasingly, tenants expect to be able to link their own identity systems with base building infrastructure to create a single, seamless network of access permissions across every point – from parking garage to turnstile to their own spaces. It’s one unified access journey for administrators and users alike, from street to seat.
Ǫ3- How do you ensure compatibility with legacy access infrastructure in older buildings?
SwiftConnect is uniquely positioned to integrate with the widest range of building access infrastructure, provided those systems support wallet-based credentials and have accessible APIs.
Our goal is to engage with both landlords and tenants as early as possible in the planning process to ensure alignment of infrastructure compatibility and to help ensure a successful and seamless wallet deployment.
Ǫ4- How does SwiftConnect’s platform unify disparate access control systems across a real estate portfolio?
Our approach directly addresses the complexities of fragmented systems, disparate credentials, and inefficient manual processes by providing intelligent, connected solutions. Our platform connects existing physical access systems with cloud, identity, and mobile technologies – automating traditionally manual workflows and unifying every user, credential, and space into one connected environment.
SwiftConnect standardises access across offices, campuses, and regions, regardless of existing access control systems. We adapt to a portfolio’s changing footprint even as properties are bought, sold, or retrofitted. We integrate with what’s already there, standardising access and creating a network of connected properties that enables seamless access to amenity spaces, shared areas and tenant suites.
Beyond physical access points, we also enable the same credentials to be used in printers, lockers, and other locations to create a 100% use case experience. All of your locations become one unified environment, giving administrators and users a consistent, connected access network that spans your entire footprint.,
Ǫ5- Lastly looking ahead, Swift Connect recently closed a successful funding round, what does the future hold? Any new integrations, partnerships, or features we should expect?
In total, we have raised $74m of capital including our most recent round. We have deliberately invested the majority of this capital in our platform and products to secure our position as the global leader in mobile connected access and to become the go-to provider for enterprises and landlords alike. You should expect to see us continue to drive our interoperability across the ecosystem, especially with access control systems, enterprise systems (including identity providers) and workplace platforms. Expect to see more strategic alliances with key ecosystem players, and last but not least, continued investment in our platform, delivering much more product innovation and operational improvements. All of this will allow us to continue to deliver for our customers and build our global footprint.
