Creating better places starts with making better decisions. From understanding a site and its surrounding context to considering how people will use and experience a place, developers are increasingly looking to data, technology and new sources of insight to inform decisions throughout the development process.

Hosted by Clifford Chance, this interactive roundtable will explore how PropTech and data can support better development decisions - including what information can be gathered from existing spaces and places, how it can be used to better understand needs and opportunities, and where digital tools can help inform planning, design and delivery. The discussion will consider where technology is genuinely adding value, as well as the barriers preventing data and digital capability from being used more effectively.

Following a short scene-setting introduction, delegates will take part in small group discussions exploring how better data and technology can support the creation of better places, what insights are currently missing or underused, and how information from existing spaces could better inform future development. Groups will then share key insights and practical ideas with the wider group.
