Leading global law firm, Clifford Chance, has joined the UK PropTech Association as a Founding Member.
Matt Taylor, Head of UK PropTech and Partner at Clifford Chance, is leading a team who are actively keeping abreast of innovations in PropTech in order to advise their property industry clients on the importance of technology as the fourth industrial revolution sweeps across the sector.
The UK PropTech Association, a not-for-profit trade body which was set up last year, now has eight founding members who each specialize in a different area of the industry and are proactively involved in UKPA initiatives.
Matt Taylor says:
“We are delighted to be part of the UK PropTech Association. Moving the PropTech agenda forward is an area of importance for us, our clients and the property industry in general. It is essential for this fast-growing sector to have an organisation like the UK PropTech Association to bring together a melting pot of different parties, each with unique ideas. Technology is a key area of focus for Clifford Chance and our recently launched global tech group gives clients access to specialist advice on key areas such as PropTech, data, IP, AI; fintech and cyber and regulatory investigations.”
UKPA Chairman, Eddie Holmes, welcomed Clifford Chance to the UKPA:
“We are proud to have such a globally respected firm such as Clifford Chance join our Association. We take pride in supporting the growth of the PropTech industry and working with people like Matt, who have excellent track records and reputations within the property industry, will help enormously in our mission to encourage collaboration between PropTech and property firms.”
Clifford Chance’s leading real estate group advises on the entire property ‘life-cycle’ from the initial acquisition, development, leasing, joint venturing and financing through to the final exit, as well as tax structuring, PFI/PPP, corporate outsourcing, planning, environment and litigation.
