Overview
The UK PropTech Association (UKPA) and the Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government (MHCLG) are venturing in a partnership to deliver o PropTech Growth Programme.
The PropTech sector has a critical role to play in digitally transforming the planning system, aiding town centre regeneration, unlocking new homes, and delivering its AI strategy. Through the formation of a new grant funded partnership with MHCLG’s Digital Planning programme, the UK PropTech Association aims to build awareness of the sector with key partners and foster greater collaboration to increase economic growth and productivity.
The partnership follows the recent launch of The Opportunity for PropTech: Leveraging technology for the UK’s built environment, which was commissioned by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to support its Digital Planning Programme. The report highlighted the significant increase in investment opportunities for the sector, given its projected growth potential of 19.7% by 2032,. and contained a number of measures designed to deliver growth and drive investment.
Programme Objectives
Starting with the publication of the Opportunity for PropTech report (download here). We are looking to:

Bringing the property industry and public sector together with PropTech to deliver 1.5 million homes.

Regional Innovation Roadshows
A national series of events bringing together local authorities, property developers, owners, investors, and PropTech companies to explore practical solutions that address regional housing and planning challenges.
- Who is it for? Local Planning Authorities, Property Developers, Investors and Owners, PropTech companies supporting the planning and delivery process
- What they’re about: Showcasing real-world PropTech solutions that contribute to local housing supply, planning efficiency, sustainable development, and regeneration. Each event fosters practical dialogue and identifies opportunities for regional collaboration.
- What we’re looking for: Regional partners, PropTech companies to showcase their work, and stakeholders interested in tackling local housing and planning challenges through innovation.

Strategic Policy Roundtables & Workshops
Curated policy roundtables designed to explore and remove market and regulatory barriers to PropTech adoption, while co-developing recommendations that benefit the wider sector.
- Who is it for? All key stakeholders involved in shaping planning, development and technology policy – including public sector leaders, developers, PropTech providers, and investors.
- What they’re about: Identifying solutions to challenges in adoption of PropTech, sharing sector insights, and shaping actionable policy recommendations to unlock the potential of PropTech.
- What we’re looking for: Collaborators and contributors who want to help shape national policy frameworks, improve procurement processes, and accelerate tech adoption in planning and property.

PropTech Knowledge Hub Launch
A dedicated platform to support the growth and scaling of PropTech companies through curated resources, funding pathways, and visibility opportunities.
- Who is it for? All PropTech startups and scaleups, as well as investors, accelerators, trade bodies, and other ecosystem enablers.
- What it’s about: Bringing together resources and strategic partners in one place to guide companies through growth, investment readiness, and integration into the UK market.
- What we’re looking for: Startups and scaleups keen to shape and test the hub, ecosystem partners to contribute resources and collaborate on content, and champions to support PropTech adoption nationally.
